Lagonda Comeback Put On Hold
The spectacular Lagonda SUV concept revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year has been put on hold. According to Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin (owners of Lagonda), the brands revival has been delayed indefinitely due to the current financial crisis. Despite having approximately £250m in financial backing, he doesn’t believe Aston Martin is in a position to launch the brand.
Originally timed to celebrate Lagondas centennial, the comeback would have seen collaboration with Mercedes, an emphasis on high end luxury and comfort and a platform for Aston Martin’s diesel and hybrid systems.
