After months of secretive testing, grainy pictures of early test cars and several sightings of F430’s with unusually wide tracks and mismatched wheels, finally a near production F450 has been spotted!

For the first time we can see the roofline stripped of most of its padding, a set of LED driving lights and a single pair of tail lights, similar in configuration to the current 599. The triple exhaust pipes immediately remind me of an F40, and it’ll be interesting to see if they’re retained on the production model.

Rumoured for release at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the F450 will sport a 4.5l V8 with what should be around 370kw (500hp). Given that production of the F430 stopped in May, I’d imagine there are already a few deposits sitting on the counter at Maranello.
